In awareness of the upcoming World Day for Safety and Health at Work on the 28th April, 2013, which promotes the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases globally, the Continuing Engineering Education Centre (CEEC), Engineering Institute, Faculty of Engineering, The University of the West Indies will be hosting a series of captivating seminars in the field of Health & Safety, starting with:

“Health and Safety in Warehouses, Storage Facilities and Bulk Stores” on Tuesday 23rd & Wednesday 24th April, 2013

and

“Health and Safety in Mechanical Shops, Garages, Tyre Shops and Workshops” on Tuesday 30th April & Wednesday 1st May, 2013

 

from 8.30am – 4.30pm at the Faculty of Engineering, UWI, St. Augustine.

The seminars will be delivered by Mr. Alexander Toussaint, Director of Akom Technologies Limited with over 16 years experience in Construction and Safety and Health as well as Mr. Rupert King, former Advisor to the Minister of Labour (Occupational Safety & Health) with over 30 years experience in Offshore and Offshore Gas Process Facilities.

The proposed cost will be TT$2,200.00 (US $367.00) per course per person.

Early Bird / Group discounts can be made available upon registration/payment (registration forms attached). The package includes all course materials, lunch, refreshments and a Certificate of Participation.
