Annual Practice Fee:

The Annual Practice Fee payment is due Annually – January – December of every year.  The anniversary date of the Registration does not apply to the date for Payment of Annual Practice Fee

PART II: FEES

4.         Fee Schedule

  1. There shall be paid to the Board the fees specified in the schedule in respect of the several matters therein specified.
  • The Board shall notify every registered engineer, at least once a month in advance of the time due, of the fees for annual practice.  The time due for the payment of Annual Practice Fee is 1st January of each year and such fee is valid for the period January to December of the year in which payment is due. The date of Registration does not apply to the Annual Practice Fee payment.
  • The fees payable by Registered Engineers who have retired from active engineering practice and are 65 years of age and over and who request such consideration shall be:-
  • 20% of the registration fee and
  • 50% of the practice fee as specified in the Schedule
  • The Board may, upon application, reduce the fees payable for registration and annual practice by such amounts as it considers necessary where it is convinced that t the applicant is unable, through illness, disability, or otherwise, to meet the prescribed payments.

5.         Penalty for non-payment of fees

  1. Where a registered engineer fails during the year to pay the annual practice fee for a calendar year, he shall incur a penalty of ten percent of the sum due.
  • Where a registered engineer fails to pay the annual practice fee for two consecutive years, the Board shall so inform the registrant at his last known address by registered post of the amount due and give notice that failure to pay the sum due within the time specified in the notice shall result in the suspension of his annual practice privilege.

Where a registered engineer fails to pay the annual practice fee, when payment is due to be made, the Board shall so inform the registrant at the beginning of the second year, at his last known address by registered post, of the amount due, and give notice that failure to pay the outstanding sums due by December 31st  of the year in whch notice is served, shall result in the suspension of his annual practice privilege effective January 1st of the following year

  • Upon payment of all arrears together with the designated penalty specified in Clause 5(1), the suspension shall be lifted and the name of the Registrant shall be lifted and the name of the Registrant shall be removed from the list of suspensions to be published for the next ensuing year.
  • Notwithstanding Clause 5(3), where a person who has been suspended applies to the Board to have the suspension lifted, the Board may decide the conditions on which the suspension may be lifted.
