The mandate of the joint APETT/BOETT CPD Committee includes public awareness and advocacy to promote the value of CPD to engineers, employers, and the public in order to reinforce its role in maintaining professional standards. This include recognizing and rewarding engineers who excel in their CPD efforts through awards or certifications. As such the CPD Committee will make recommendations to APETT and BOETT based on the following ways in which the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) achievements of engineers can be highlighted and commended.
Public Recognition
- Certificate of Achievement:
- Award of personalized certificates to engineers who meet the CPD benchmarks.
- These certificates to be included in an official awards ceremony such as APETT’s annual Award Ceremony
- Recognition in Publications:
- Feature the names and achievements of these engineers on APETT and the Board’s websites, Social Media platforms (LinkedIn & Facebook) and both the BOETT’s and APETT’s Annual Reports delivered at APETT’s AGM.
- Publication of short profiles or case studies highlighting the engineer’s CPD journey. (via LinkedIn Page Interviews which are also published on the BOETT & APETT’s Websites

- Establishment of an “Honor Roll” of CPD achievers prominently displayed on the BOETT & APETT Websites and Social Media platforms.

- Posting of the engineer’s achievements on the BOETT & APETT’s social media platforms with congratulatory messages and hashtags to promote CPD awareness.
